I've been wearing the Li Ren 4V2 for a while now. When I first bought it, it was over 600 RMB, which felt a bit pricey, but now it's a great time to get it. Even though the Li Ren 5 is out, this shoe still holds up really well.
The sizing is spot on—just go with your regular size. It fits comfortably even for wider feet, with good support and no discomfort, and it doesn't restrict ankle flexibility.
The shoe offers great protection. The TPU edges provide solid security, and I never feel like my foot is slipping during lateral movements. The heel stability is excellent, and the power line is straight, with a strong locking sensation. The upper is durable enough for high-intensity games.
The midsole features full-length Bounce technology plus a supercritical foam insole, which feels soft and responsive. It's noticeably softer than previous Li Ren models, and you can really feel the bounce from the supercritical midsole.
The outsole is slip-resistant, offering good grip without any squeaking sounds. It's moderately durable, and the tread is still intact after regular use. The shovel-shaped torsion plate provides solid support, and there's minimal deformation during quick stops or changes of direction.
When playing basketball, the Li Ren 4V2 gives you plenty of energy during cuts and drives, without feeling sluggish. The cushioning on landings is also effective.
Overall, the Li Ren 4V2 is a great combination of style and performance. It can handle high-intensity games, and at around 500 RMB now, it's highly recommended due to its great value. The Li Ren series has always been known for its high-end performance shoes, and I think the 4V2 is a significant improvement over the 3rd generation. Highly recommended!
