The high-top version runs a bit large. I usually wear a 260.0mm shoe for my 255.0mm feet, but this one doesn't fit well. Compared to the AJ4 low-top Black Cat, the sole is more than a centimeter longer, causing a lot of heel slippage. I tried using thick wool insoles, but then my right pinky toe started hurting from the pressure. I'm putting up with it just for the orca colorway—it looks so good. But I have no idea how to wear these for even a short walk of a few kilometers; my arches hurt so much they feel like they're cramping up.

While most people seem to be crazy about the AJ11, buying up all the colorways, I personally have a soft spot for the AJ12. There's something uniquely appealing about it to me. Back in the '90s, I saw a photo of the AJ12's heel in a magazine, similar to the one in my third picture, and it really left a lasting impression on me. I don't own many, but I've collected a few different colorways of the 12. However, I think the ones with darker soles are better, as the white ones tend to yellow and oxidize over time. All in all, it's a shoe I really love!
