Just got these and opened them right away. The packaging from Poizon had a festive vibe, with a bright red box! It's the first time I've seen such a vibrant red box, and I was excited to open it. Inside, besides the shoes, there was also a red bag. The drawstring on the bag really surprised me—it feels like it would make a better shoelace, matching the shoes perfectly. The shoe itself is full of details, with various scale-like textures, and the insole features the classic "824" design. There are surprises everywhere. If these were old shoes, I wouldn't wear them out today, but since they're new, I'm willing to play in them. They fit a bit snug, so I might need to go half a size or even a full size up for a better fit. After walking around a bit, I noticed they have a strong, snug fit and are very lightweight. However, I can already imagine some creasing at the front after playing. I'll check again after tonight's game. The only downside is the black shoelaces—if they were gold, it would be perfect. I tried pairing them with the black and gold laces from the AJ38, and they looked much better.

Kobe's shoes tend to run small, so I recommend going up a size. The Kobe 5 does have a higher front and lower back, but I find it really comfortable for shooting guards. The responsive forefoot makes it easy to stop and pull up for jump shots. The upper material is top-notch. After two games, the outsole showed noticeable wear, so I'd suggest wearing them indoors. They also look really stylish.
