This is my third pair of Kobe 9 Elite. The high-top design offers great protection for the Achilles and ankles, but compared to other Kobe low-top models, it sacrifices some flexibility and that ultra-close-to-the-ground feel. These shoes are better suited for heavier players who prioritize protection, especially forwards. The carbon fiber plate on the side provides solid support but does limit foot movement a bit and can feel a little intrusive. The cushioning doesn't use Zoom Air, so the responsiveness isn't as explosive or aggressive. The traction is solid for indoor courts, but I wouldn't recommend using them extensively outdoors. Ordered yesterday and it arrived today—super fast delivery! The size fits just right, true to size. The ankle area is a bit narrow, so it might feel tight for those with wider feet. The color is a bright red, not a dark shade, and it really catches the eye. If you wear these to the court, you'll definitely stand out as the coolest player there.
